Questo imbottigliamento rappresenta un'ulteriore evoluzione dei due blend ed è il risultato di un minuzioso lavoro in vigna con riduzione delle rese oltre che abbassamento della percentuale di legno nuovo che ora è scesa mediamente del 20%.

This bottling represent a further evolution of the two blends and is the outcome of detailed work in the vineyard with reduction in yields as well as lowering the percentage of new wood which is now down on average by 20%.

NiK1 2020

Rosso rubino intenso, compatto, profondo.
Al naso note di frutti piccoli di bosco scuri, ciliegia matura, spezie, la sua caratteristica nota balsamica di eucalipto combinata con eleganti note di cacao.
Ricco, giovane e ancora nervoso al palato. Grande potenzialità d’invecchiamento. Un pregiato tannino, non invadente, fa da corollario a questo prezioso vino.

Intensely compact deep ruby red.

On the nose notes of small dark berries, ripe cherries, spices, the wine reveals its characteristic balsamic note of eucalyptus combined with elegant notes of cocoa.

Rich, young and slightly tense on the palate with great aging potential. Refined and friendly tannins act as  complement to this precious wine.

emiolé 2020

Il colore emiolé 2020 è di una brillante intensità, quasi viola.
La grande purezza aromatica e le note di frutti neri e ciliegia selvatica costituiscono il fiore all'occhiello di questa annata.
Le note del legno sono perfettamente integrate. Al palato, l'attacco è soave e i tannini setosi sono rotondi e avvolgenti.
Il finale, grazie all'alta qualità del Cabernet Franc, rimane speziato e mentolato in una fresca tensione. Rivelatrice dell'autenticità del terroir della zona, questo elegante millesimato è cesellato e preciso.

The color is of a shiny intensity, almost purple. The great aromatic purity and the notes of black fruits and wild cherry are the masterpiece of this vintage. The wood is perfectly integrated. On the palate, the connection is soft and the silky tannins are round and enveloping. The finish, thanks to the high quality of the Cabernet Franc, is spiced, with menthol notes and a refreshing tension. This elegant vintage is chiseled and focused revealing the authenticity of the area's terroir.

Commento sull'annata viticola

 

Il germogliamento è stato precoce. Lo sviluppo vegetativo è stato rapido e costante sino alla fioritura per poi rallentare gradatamente durante il mese di giugno a causa della pioggia e temperatura relativamente bassa. La piena fioritura è apparsa molto in anticipo rispetto alla precedente stagione, un chiaro segnale di cambiamento climatico.
Le buone condizioni meteorologiche dello scorso anno hanno determinato infiorescenze importanti con molti fiori che hanno prodotto un alto tasso di allegagione e grappoli molto grandi. 
La scarsità di piogge da fine giugno a fine agosto ha condizionato il peso degli acini. Il peso medio molto basso ha permesso una forte concentrazione dei mosti e gradazioni zuccherine molto elevate.
Anche quest’anno le uve sono state vinificate completamente sane in quanto la selezione nel vigneto è stata fatta acino per acino nella settimana precedente la vendemmia e la raccolta eseguita manualmente in maniera delicata.
Quest’anno, le condizioni meteorologiche del mese di settembre fino a inizio di ottobre hanno permesso il raggiungimento di condizioni ottimali nella maturazione delle uve rosse, a livello aromatico e polifenolico.

Comments on the vintage 2020 growing season

​

The budding was early. The initial part of the growth cycle was fast and constant up to flowering and then gradually slowed down during the month of June due to rainy and cool conditions. Full flowering was achieved much earlier than last season, some obvious signs of climate change at work. The good weather conditions of this vintage produced a large flowering cycle with many flowers which resulted in a high fruit set rate and very large clusters.

The very low rainfall from the end of June to the end of August affected the weight of the grapes. The average weight was very low and this resulted in high concentration of musts and very high sugar content.

In this vintage as well, only totally healthy grapes were vinified as the selection in the vineyard was made grain by grain in the week preceding the harvest and the harvest was done by hand in a delicate way.

The weather conditions in September until the beginning of October allowed the red grapes to reach optimal ripening conditions, as well as good aromatic and polyphenolic level.
